Somebody Stop Me
Friday, June 25, 2010 at 12:53PM I swear I heard the Starbucks guy chuckle over the loudspeaker in the drive-thru yesterday after placing my order. I can't be sure but it sure sounded like a "you can't be serious" type of chuckle. I know my order is long but I like my coffee how I like it, despite the fact that it makes me one of those people. The people that place a long coffee order people. *sigh*

Before, I tried to console myself by thinking they hear long orders every day, so what's one more? But that chuckle said different. That chuckle said: Bee, please.
So, what's your coffee order? Yes, this is a desperate attempt to find someone with a longer order than my own.
P.S. Starbucks isn't my first choice, Coffee Bean is... but alas, none in Portland. :(

Venti non-fat Carmel Macchiatto, lol. I despise those people. Regardless here in SD most people have long coffee orders. I'm the minority.
If it's Starbucks, I'm going to order a Venti Mocha Frappuccino (occasionally with a double shot of espresso). At home however, I'm your basic medium blend coffee with non-dairy french vanilla creamer on ice.
I avoid Starbucks like the plague! But luckily I am in the cafe capital of the world so there are PLENTY of awesome options. I order a soy flat white every time - not lactose intolerant, just love the taste and texture of soy. If I'm wanting a hot drink without coffee then I just order plain soy milk! That always throws the cafe staff off. And because it's not a menu item I can get charged anything between $1 and $4.
Um, strawberries and cream or a passion iced tea lemonade. I'm easy.
However my SIL basically gets the same thing as you.... so you aren't alone.
Nicola, what's a flat white again? I know you told me before but I forget. Oh and I started doing the soy for the same reason!
I really think if Starbucks coffee tasted better, I wouldn't have to screw with it so much. I swear when I order a Vanilla Latte at Coffee Bean, I don't mess with it at all!
